Tournament update

Due to the wet condition of the fields this morning December 26, the City of Anaheim Park & Rec Dept inform the Tournament/ASA Board of Directors that the fields will not be available for play this coming weekend December 27-28.

THE TOURNAMENT IS CANCELLED.

First I will like to apologize on behalf of the ASA Board of directors to all the teams, coaches, players and their families for any inconvenience this may cause for changing their plans this Christmas Holiday.

We are very disappointed that the tournament could not happen. We have tried everything.


The tournament will provided refunds to all teams as follows:
1. Use the Fee as credit towards the Fee for 2009 tournament.
2. Use the Fee as a swap for any other tournament ASA/ASC hosts.

3. Refund will be provided to the teams per CYSA-S Guidelines and/or Rules and Regulations. (The tournament will withhold approx 1/3 of the tournament fee for incurred tournament expenses.Teams that choose to return to the 2009 Holiday Classic will receive a credit/discount of the amount withheld towards the 2009 fee. The refund will be provided to teams within 30 days.

I need each team to email me the following: - NO PHONE CALLS
No later that January 1, 2009 of what you decided to do with the fee.
Make sure you specify in the email which team is yours. Coach or Manager Name, Club/Team Name, Age Group and Gender.

Specify which tournament you will like to attend

As we enter the 26th year of this tournament, we continue to strive to make this the best Christmas weekend experience for all the players and their families.

The Holiday Classic is a Class I - CYSA-South sanctioned: Open to all US Youth Soccer State Associations; Super Y League, US Club Soccer, and AYSO teams.

The Holiday Classic offers Flights for all levels; Premier (see the qualification criteria under TOURNAMENT INFOMATION PAGE), Gold, Silver Elite, Silver, Bronze, Class I, Class 3, Signature & All Star Teams with up to 4 flights per age group.

Boys and Girls Under U8-14.

Teams from Northern California & outside the State of California will receive automatic acceptance into the tournament upon completion of their application and receipt of their registration fee.

Each year, the tournament draws approximately 300-350 teams. For those of you who participated in the Holiday Classic 2007, it appears that you remember the good times and the great competition from last year at our tournament. Your numerous requests for our 2008 applications have been most gratifying. Thank you.

The two-day tournament will take place December 20 & 21, 2008. We welcome back all our friends from all over Southern California, Northern California, Washington, Nevada, Colorado, Canada and Arizona. Their participation enhances the spirit of great competition at our tournament.

This information is just a "snap shot" regarding the Tournament. Please take the time to thoroughly review all sections of this web site. This web site has been developed to answer all of your questions and hopefully convey to you our desire to afford your team and its family members a truly memorable tournament.

All games will be played in West Anaheim , Central Orange County. Between games or at the end of the day, Anaheim and adjacent beach cities offer visitors many unique opportunities for lodging, shopping and dining.

Major tourist attractions; Disneyland Park , Disney's California Adventure Park , Downtown Disney Resort , Knott's Theme Park and Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament are located within 5 minutes of our venues.

Register
The tournament registration process has been developed to provide all of your registration, payment, team roster, bracket information, game schedule and game scores online.

Begin the registration process by completing a simple online form and creating your own User ID and Password. You may take as much time as you need to complete your application. You have the ability to return at any time and work with your application until you are ready to submit payment.
Please note that the application is not deemed submitted until your team registration fees have been paid.
